 ;) ;)... I've seen all three types on this style patchbox ..... two in-line screws seems to be most commonly used ...... ALSO,.... some patchboxes were slightly "domed", while others are flat ..... was no set standard ... even by the same gun-maker ..... good pix, ... what show  ? ... got more pix ..?? ... Thanx,... One other picture on a simpler patchbox on a western pa gun.


The screw is the pivot and the nail at bottom holds it closed. Can’t get much simpler.
