BTW, people seem to focus an awful lot on Matthias Roesser being in Lancaster borough very early, but I think Henry Mull (Johan Henrich Moll) frequently gets overlooked. I tracked down the deed Kindig and some others have mentioned dating to the early 1750s when he (Mull) sold his lot, which mentions he was a gunsmith, and it indeed mentions he initially bought the lot in 1740 and it was bordering Roesser's lot (if I read the boundary descriptions correctly)!!!
