**I received the ram rods this afternoon and will start weighing/packing and notifying those that ordered them tomorrow. I will take me awhile so just hang on please.
Dennis**

Several members need hickory ram rod blanks so if members want ram rods I will make another special order in about a week. If you want ram rods all you need to do is email me ( tdg23113@verizon.net ) the total number wanted and a USPS mail address. Send no money until I have the ram rods in and ready to ship. Minimum order is 1 dozen but you may mix sizes and I will prorate the cost according to size.

Shipping must be by USPS Priority Mail due to length. There will be a .50 charge for packing materials plus actual shipping charges.

The ram rods are from a large supply house and are considered premium grade and will be pulled at random as received from supplier. I just can not hand pick even at extra charges. Previous orders seem to be pretty decent and I would expect these to be just as good as earlier shipments.

Here are the latest prices:

5/16 inch are  $1.14 each
3/8 inch are    $1.40 each
7/16 inch are  $1.67 each
1/2 inch are    $1.97 each

I have to ship via USPS Priority Mail. Insurance will be your option and if you request shipment without insurance any loss/damage will be yours. I will only guarantee delivery to USPS in good order.

ORDERS to me at tdg23113@verizon.net Please do not post orders on the board. Questions can be asked on the forum but orders MUST be emailed to me, be sure to include mailing address so I can calculate postage when the order comes in.

I have not mailed any since 2008 when the USPS rates were lower. Depending on the size I suspect the USPS charge in the lower 48 would be around 5 or 6 dollars with the insurance rate being $1.80 per $50 increment. Then I add .50 for packing materials so the total with insurance would probably be $6.50 to $7.50.

I use regular butcher paper to wrap them in then wrap that with clear tape.

Bill, 5/16 is the smallest they carry. By the time they are sanded they are a little under 5/16 and if I were you I would use them and taper them down by scraping them with a knife or planer blade. That leaves you more at the handle end.

I made one for my .30 caliber out of a 3/8 ram rod and it didn't take long to scrape it down. Plus it makes the rr look hand made.
