Dutch Schoultz shooting method
« on: December 22, 2017, 12:26:11 AM »
Anyone have contact info for Dutch Schoultz? I tried the phone number on his website, but it is not in service. I figured I would ask here before sending a letter.

No problem, I purchased a copy of his shooting method a few years ago....saved me some time and provided an awful lot of insight. It's a good read for sure!

When you send an email to Dutch Schoultz, use the largest font size you can.  His eye sight is so bad that he sometimes has to resort to using a magnifying glass to read his emails.

His shooting method works because it relies on a process that evaluates the accuracy one step at a time.  It takes a long time and while i don't always agree on some of recommendations, I must concede that if you follow his process, accuracy will improve.

Dutch is active on the Traditional Muzzlelaoding forum (muzzleloadingforum.com). Quite amazing. Believe he turns 90 in a few months.

You  can't go wrong with Dutch' s shooting system. I am a BP percussion and flintlock shooter from Belgium and although I shot these guns regularly since many years, I improved my targets a lot since I acquired his instruction sheets. What he says makes sense, and his advice helped me to noticeably shrink my groupings ... It's all about consistency and  precision loading ... It 's cheap - makes sense and is cheap ... so what's keeping you?
