I thought I'd post some pictures of this years deer camp. I know it is encouraging to see young folks taking up the traditional muzzle loaders.

It was a pretty good year for 1sts. That is a "First Buck" pictured. Also one of the boys standing to the right in the picture with the hanging does got his first deer ever. That was a fun one because he had been hunting with us for 3 years before finally getting one.

Good job all of them . I'm envious of them , didn't go out this am still have 4-6" of snow on the ground along with -3 temps and a nice breeze here . They all look fairly warm ! Lol

That was back in November. It was a lot warmer then.
I'll tell you what - if you look at those hills in the background it comes in mighty handy to have them boys around to help drag deer. ATVs not allowed in the park.

Southwest Wisconsin. In a part of the state called "The Driftless Area" as there is no glacial drift there. For some mysterious reason the glaciers all went to the east or west leaving these deep river valleys untouched.
