Circled Fox on tradegun lock history???

Did many lock makers offer locks with plates with the circled Fox stamping prior to 1989?

I saw a tradegun at a show made in '89 with such a lockplate.  I'm thinking it may be a Curly Gostomski kit gun.  Is the circled Fox any clue?

If the circle Fox is on a reworked Production lock with the circle fox added after grinding off the original engraved name ( Lott), its a Green River Forge. Often around the rear curvature where the cock meets the plate you will find acid etched G.R.F. In cursive. Sometimes the circle Fox is acid etched, and sometimes it stamped. The older ones are acid etched.

Yes, the OP is asking about the circle fox mark on the lock of a reproduction gun made in 1989.

  Doesn't Sitting Fix muzzleloader use a mark of stamp like this on their kits?
