Hello I am looking for a picture of a rifle called the muskrat rifle I think they were built by either Allan arms or Western arms.thank.D

Duane I beileive it was Ozark Mt Arms that built the Muskrat ,the Taney Co ,and a Hawken rifle .Sorry I dont have any pictures though.

Duane,  Here's the reply I posted on the Traditional ML Forum:

This may not be much help, but one of Sam Fadala's BP books (softcover) has photos of that rifle.  You want the book with the photo of a brass framed Navy Arms Leech & Rigdon (?) revolver + can of Goex on the cover:  1982 or 1983 edition I think.


And yes, it was produced by Ozark.

Bunch of pictures online from sales on auctionsies, using a Bing search on terms ‘ozark muskrat rifle’.

Now whether those are muskrat or polecat rifles shown ... no idea.
All of my muzzleloaders will shoot into one ragged hole ALL DAY LONG ... it's just the 2nd or 3rd & other shots that tend to open up my groups ... !
