Rice does a great job of bottoming out the breech plug square in the threaded barrel ! Please check the Colerain, I have had two Colerains in 32 cal that evidently were drilled with a tapered drill then the threads were cut and the breech plug did not seat squarely agenst the rifleing,Black powder collects in this tapered void and on a high moisture condition the residue turns to black soup! Those barrels were built 15 - 20 years ago possibly they may have improved? Also I can feel chatter when loading a very tight patch / ball combination on my 32 Colerain barrels! My 50 and 54 cal Colerain barrels have a much smoother rifled bore! All Rice barrels I have seen have exceptionally smooth rifling! I would choose the Rice.
