I'm putting finish on my build now, and am frustrated by the long time it's taking for varnish to cure. I'm using Tried & True Linseed Varnish oil, and applying it EXTREMELY thinly. Normally that stuff cures in a day to two. Yet, this time it seems to be taking at least a week (some times 2) between coats in this 85% humidity weather. Are there any tricks to getting it to cure faster? I've been thinking about putting the stock in a big plastic bag in front of a picture window, and filling the bag itself with scuba tank air (hence the Mr. Bubbles name) which has a dew point of -60F--mighty dry air. That seems like a lot of hassle though. Anyone else got any tricks they use?
