Hi Tim, Thanks. It's an old and simple design. This one is going to be 18 inches long and has 6 3/4" ends.

That one looks to be a fine piece of leather.  I am eager to see the finished product. 

We bought a simple one for quite a deal at the Williamsburg Market auction a few months back.  No James Rogers work, but serviceable.  Handy luggage.  :-)
