Review of Gun Trade in America

Jerry Noble and Tom Moore have published an excellent book entitled Gun Trade in America.  This book is a compilation of over 27,000 entries of individuals and companies who have participated in the country’s gun trade up to 1960.  This book is a primary source for enthusiasts, collectors, researchers, and traders giving such information as name, location, dates, type of work if known, and the primary source.  This gives the user the basic information for further study.
You may be thinking, why this in the day of the Internet?  There are at least two great reasons, first this book is a single in-hand resource specifically targeted to the gun trade, instantly providing relevant information.  Secondly, anyone with research experience recognizes the value of starting a study with the primary information this resource provides.
Published in 2016, it is the latest complete guide to American gunsmiths available to collectors and researchers.  Gun Trade in America is available directly from the authors, at a cost of $40.00 plus $6.00 S&H.  Tom ships copies, and can be reached at Iowagun@mchsi.com or (319) 721-4624.
