Hi all! and thank you Craig Wilcox and mountainman70! Nosecap spring made from a old Krag Jørgensen band spring, and brass fronsight is soft solder. The pistol is now ready for finish :)

R, that is a particularly nice pistol you have "rebuilt"!  Seems that you have re-done the whole pistol - and made a fantastic firearm.

My hat is off to you.  I would be proud carrying that pistol!

Hi all! and thank you guys! I use Herdins water stain, much easyer to kontrol color than spirit stain. And Danish oil  :)

That original breech plug has 3 threads - just like the "Made in India" India Pattern Brown Bess I bought.  Unlike that Brown Bess, these threads look like real threads, not something filed out with a 3-corner file.

Well, Runar, some people may get you confused with Rolf - but I wouldn't mind having a firearm from each of you!

Maybe one of Rolf's "jewelry" guns I could use to shoot spiders?  And one of yours to enter shooting matches with?  That will work fine!

I think you've got me confused with Adrie Luke from Netherlands. He makes miniature guns. I do full scale guns. Runar calls them "jewelery" because I'm more fussy with the finishing. Here is a link to a pair of pistols.
