I mixed vinegar cider and a piece of wrought iron a while ago and the color was a dk. grayish almost black. I forgot all about the stain until saturday when I stumbled into it by accident ( 3 months later). I decided to try it again before throwing it out and buying some. Lo and behold it is a very mellow orange. Almost like the sunset but a burnt color. This will be a great color for my NC rifle. Long Carabine
