That’s a nice one!  Is the tip pinned on, or screw tip?  I gotta make me up some mandrels and put my old South Bend to work...haven’t found a wood lathe yet. I picked up a copy of the Sibley’s new book on banded horns, and have been itching to try one.

Greg

Edit:  never mind, if I looked closer I’d have seen the pins! 🤦🏻‍♂️

A Beauty Jim, well done. The tip looks very similar to the one on the horn Tanselman posted. What page of the book is it on?

   Thanks, Tim

Tip is pinned like original with 4 brass pins. Butt plunge pinned under band and 2 wooden plans in band also like original. I needed practice, this is one of the horns for students to make in the class
