J. Voorhees Rifle

I have a rifle with the name J. Voorhees on top of the barrel. A target rifle in 40 cal, 1" wide barrel, 34" long. Reciever sight probably made by the maker. G. Goulcher lock. Any one know about this maker? Hoping to find it's a Michigan builder, thanks, Jim.

The N.Y. State Firearms Trade (Swinney & Rowe) lists Jeremiah Voorhees working in Avoca 1850-69, Stannard's Corners (Town of Wellsville) 1870-75, and Wellsville, 1875.
