Corey Joe, it looks really nice!  And you can go to good hobby shops, and get some brass paint for models, paint that beautiful carving job, and it will REALLY look "implied"!  LOL.

Don't change a thing - you have a beautiful rifle there.  And I know you made it left-handed so none of us will try to borrow it for a weekend.

Cory, I do like that implied butt plate look. It kinda sets it off and gives a plain old Poor Boy a little class.

Of the Don Getz barnguns I have seen on the blog I liked the one , like yours , that imitated in wood the missing furniture like the butt plate comb
My favorite flinter is a Getz inspired barn gun . mr Getz often used precarved stocks in fact the Beck pattern made from an original Beck , Mark Weader at Jacks Montain has the pattern in fact ,and made and made a number of stocks for Don Getz
