Front sight Help !
« on: December 03, 2018, 04:23:03 AM »
I have a .62 cal Tulle ....and I believe this front sight is called a “Turtle” ... I could be wrong.....but anyways...I need another one, because before I learned to shoot correctly...I filed the sight down, trying to raise my groups (rookie mistake). Does anyone sell this type of sight ...and how in the Wide world of sports do you install it ? Thanks Ness

Ness,
That is a common sight, or multiple variations of the same.  That sight is most likely soldered on.  The soldering process is pretty simple, but can be VERY complicated with barrel finish, and other items nearby that are also soldered.
If you're not pretty familiar with this kind of stuff, I'd suggest hiring someone that is.

I would use a dremel and groove it and replace existing sight with penny or another piece of silver. then start all over again......... ;)

That’s a good idea ! Just use an adhesive to glue the penny in the groove? I have plenty of metal structural adhesives....Been in the Autobody Business for 42 years....

It appease soft soldered to the barrel. Barrel off the stock, heat and remove.
Solder new Turtle sight on. Check www.trackofthewolf.com - they sell them.
If you can' t find them, try this:
