if i hadda spend over 200 hours building or assembling a flintlock long gun, i wouldn't.  that ain't fer me.

the quality of jim's kits are nothing short of amazing in both the components themselves and the attention to detail.  if i rushed i'd get it assembled in less than a working day, sans finish.  i've got the whole winter, but i expect it'll still go together quickly.  it's not one of those offshore screwdriver kits that takes less than an hour to assemble without finishing, but the kibler parts fit so well from the get-go.
