Finished this early Dickert using Ferric Nitrate(crystals) & DA mix 5:1, then followed with a thinned coat of Dangler/Klein red brown, then a thinned coat of Dangler brown(both thinned 50/50 w/DA), burnished using 4/0 steel wool, then 8 thin coats of Chambers oil.

Used 5:1 Ferric Nitrate on this one, neutralized with a very concentrated dose of lye to get the orange out of it, and make the grain pop more.  Then Old Towne Lehigh Red stain, and knocked back with steel woo.  Finally, 6-7-8 coats of Tried & True Varnish oil.

I used my own homebrew of AF on this stock, followed by Laurel Mountain Forge Nut Brown with a couple of drops of LMF Cherry.  Followed by many coats of Chambers oil finish.
