Voids in German silver
« on: June 17, 2009, 03:02:57 AM »
I have been cleaning up a german silver pistol buttcap casting and several large voids have appeared. These are way too deep to file out and too large too peen closed. Is there anything that I could use to fill the voids?

Put inlays in them. Get some german silver and just inlay some in the holes.

you can make rivets of german silver, drill a thru hole, and peen them in. Be sure to anneal the rivets first.
