Well thanks. I'm always trying to crank up the game a little. I think I've been building some of the  best guns of my career in the past year. After my shoulder surgery in '17 I discovered I may not live forever as I had planned so I better get it in gear!

I'll have this gun at the Princeton IL. show  in February as well as another Lehigh and a Christian Oerter rifle. Hopefully I'll have an early English trade gun stocked in ash too.

I like how he achieved a 3-d effect on the tang shell without actually relieving the wood around it. Kudos on a very loveable little rifle!

My opinion, it’s perfect period Lehigh carving.  You rarely see it from even the top Lehigh makers and it’s very difficult to do.  There’s no room for fixing an error.

In my opinion, Mike's rifle is totally in keeping with the Lehigh form, both architecturally and decoratively.  Many Lehigh rifles have sculpted carving below rather than above incised carving.  The illusion of raised carving is very subtle.  Nicely done Mike.

I like this a lot.  Someday I wan't to learn about Lehigh rifles and try to make some myself.  Neat to see you venture into some new territory.
