Has anyone built a sliding pan lock?
« on: March 02, 2019, 08:13:52 PM »
I saw this video the other day, and thought the lock was brilliant.

You fire your first shot, then cock the lock again and it slides the pan back to expose the second pan and you just close the frizzen and you're ready for a second shot. It's for an over/under pistol. I wonder if it's possible to cut up a current lock to build one.

If it would be used on a single barrel I don't see much of a plus. You still have to load the second shot.

I guess it could be used on a two shot revolver,  or tap action scheme?   The second pan self igniting from the first would be an issue.

Pet peeve....people adding music to a video.  Music is very subjective.  I find it annoying.  I always turn it off and wonder if I missed useful narration.

Same here - I do not like the music in videos, especially rap-$#@*.  I shut this one off quickly.

It is for a double barrel over under pistol. You can mute the music and still watch the video. Pachelbel's Canon in D is hardly rap music. It was written when this lock would've been the pinnacle of ignition technology.

Glad others enjoy it.  Cellos remind me of a dying bee.
