Little update on the Wally Nut rifle. It finally found its purpose this afternoon. I was using it and this buck came by at about 50 yds. Hit him exactly where you're supposed to hit one. Went about 25 yes and died in the open field. Great rifle ideal for using in shooting houses and ladder stands. I was in a ladder stand.

Great rifle ideal for shooting houses and ladder stands.
I recommend parboiling houses and ladder stands before cooking. Makes 'em less chewy.

I usually make jerky out of them and sell the jerky to smart acres.

I had begun to wonder if this event would ever take place.....
Did he just walk into a wild shot or did you shoot him on purpose?
(Golly I'm a funny guy

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Mike a blind hog will find an acorn every once in a while. That is if he looks long enough. I have passed up several shots this season but it was just his time to go. He will be fine eating here at the Cosby home.

She's a beauty Mike. I like the simple carving behind the cheek. Tasteful.
