Info on a percussion double barrel shotgun ...

Found this up for sale at an estate sale, don't have a clue what it is or its value ...

Not sure from your post what you wanted to learn.  It's kind of a plain jane double barrel percussion gun from the mid 1800's.  British proofs on the barrel.  Looks like it was broken pretty hard through the wrist and the front trigger is missing.  That hand stitched quilt it's laying on may be worth more money.

Brent has pretty much said it all. Not very desirable as collectors go, just another pretty face ridden hard and put away wet.

Upon further review, the front trigger is there, but it's folded up back by the rear trigger, so something inside isn't lined up or something is broken. May have happened when the wrist got broken.  Not trying to take anything away from your purchase.  It was a working man's gun, probably bought in a hardware store.  There are lot of these old doubles hiding in closets and they show up a gun shows frequently.  Would look nice hanging above a mantle in a cabin some place, or over the fire place at the local Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Those locks don't look like Brazier or Stanton but that isn't an upper end gun.
Cracker barrel here has an old shotgun over the fire place but in spite of the
good food we don't care for the noisy,boiler factory atmosphere of that one.

Nice mantlepiecer or CrackerBarreler, but not much else I’d probably stray from firing it.
