frizzen hardening

I am new to this flintlock stuff, so please excuse me for this question.  I recently built a Jim Kibler Colonial kit.  Came with a Chamber's Virginia lock.  Is the frizzen already hardened?

Thanks, just heard so much about hardening the frizzen, wasn't sure.

Frizzens come hard and ready for use from Jim, unless you buy a  lock kit.
