Your bags are always so impressive. Works of art. What would be the era and place where this style of bag would be appropriate?

Wow and Wow!

Did I say Wow!?

Normally I am drawn to the beat up old looking pouches but these are "very" nice.

Thank you for sharing these.

Regards,

Doug

WOW! How do you beat these? Push the bar any farther and it's going to fall over the top!

Thank you gentlemen. Clark B, while the characteristics of this bag shape could fall anywhere in a time frame, the design shape is pulled from an early 18th century English painting.

The checkering is very impressive.   I have no idea how you did that.

Very impressive. My eyes and hands hurt just thinking about laying out all those lines to create that pattern on the 1st bag's flap.

Late to the party, but ditto...gorgeous work!  I love what the extra texture of the tooled checkering brings to the table.

Congrats on some fine bags!

Just stunning work.  They are a lesson for all of us bag makers.  The checkered bag has some crazy cool details.  The other one too for that matter.

Do I see a new maker's stamp?

It also appears the one has a suspended inner pocket?

Thanks so much for sharing sir.  You have to be mighty proud of those.

God Bless,   Marc

James,

If you don't consider it a trade secret,  I would really like to know how you did that checkering.   I have done course checkering with a swivel knife, but what you did is at an whole other level.

That checkered bag would really go with a fine English style checkered gun. Truly top shelf.
