Ramrod tips

I have been making ramrod tips using a friends lathe and like them alot so I thought I'd share.
5/16 stock with a 1/4" hole 1" deep in one end and a 10-32 tapped hole in the other 3" long with a 1 degree taper. Since I taper all of my 3/8" ramrods to 5/16" anyway I figured this have a nice (functional) period look to any of the rifles I send out.
The picture shows one mounted, a standard 3/8" brass tip for comparison and a couple of others.

Looks real good. Such tips solve many “front lock bolt is partly in the RR hole” issues.

I really like those.  I have made a couple by using my drill press as a lathe.  Mine have not turned out as nice as yours tho.  Well done.

Now those I could make, easily. The brazed kind haven't panned out for me just yet.

They are not difficult to make
 just a lot of steps to make something so simple.

Small stuff always seems to take a lot of steps on a lathe.
