I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that was commercially produced. I thought they were all custom made.

I have never heard of a toe box.  Can you show us a picture of one?

Did you mean tow box?  I have not seen one of those, either.

Thanks, A toe plate box, that's a first, if I ever saw one before it must not have made an impression. Here is a Pic of them for those who may never have seen one either.

The hinged toe plate is not that hard to fabricate once you get use to the hinge looking bigger verses what it does on a regular patch box. I straightened out the line with the lid seating up against the wood.  Attached are a three photo's of the product.  The hinged toe  plate is on the bottom rifle in the third photo.  Good luck with your rifle.

Looks like two jags and a breech plug scraper.

Tim,
I put a ball puller, jag, and breech scraper in the toe plate cavities to go along with the rifle.  I also made a vent pick, and mounted it between the toe plate and rear trigger guard final.

When making something like this out of sheet iron, let's say .040 thick, what size hinge pins should be used?  Might like to try this "toe kick hideaway".
