after refereshing

after the job of refreshing a barrel dose the breech plug need to be replaced or dose it matter how much freshing was done? the barrel for my daughters rifle is purty ruff and pitted  I'm going to try to fresh it out .

As long as the threads are not cut away you'll be fine to use it "as is".

Others will probably disagree, but you can stop as soon as the lands are clean.  Minor imperfections in the grooves are not that important to accuracy other than they tend to hold fouling more.

I'm gonna guess that if you're taking the grooves through the breechplug threads, you should go to the next size plug. If the grooves don't cut into the crests of the threads, you should be good to go.
