Old lock
« on: September 10, 2019, 06:01:47 PM »
Hello,

My friend Hans Muller gave me an old lock in parts.
I made 2 bolts and a case for the sear and a new bridle.
The lock is 5 inch long.
Jim Chambers sells a 5 inch lock on his site for pistols.
I made the choice to make a pistol for the lock.

Last weekend I made for the first time a full scale barrel for the old lock.
It is a swamped barrel, caliber 60.
Thanks Rolf for your explanation.
Later more.

Adrie,
That barrel looks great!  Nice work.
Hope to see you on Wednesday. I’ll call in the morning.

Cheers,
Norm.

I have to say, after seeing what you've done with miniature builds, I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up building with these parts. I hope you post pictures of your progress.

How much of that old lock can you legally replace before it's not an old lock anymore?

Nice work, on both the lock and the barrel.
