Does anyone have a good sorce for Pewter, looking to cast anose cap and knife gaurds. thanks Ken

I think most of the vendors carry casting pewter.  I know Track of the Wolf does.  I get mine from R.E. Davis.  He carries the lead free pewter in the little bee bees which I think is easier to use than the ingots.

I have seen pewter advertised as 95% tin 5% antimony. This is the makeup of 95/5 plumbing solder. I've used this on a couple of half stocks with solid caps and it seemed to work pretty good. The only kick that I have is it takes so long to tarnish. My old 45 is about ten years old and it is just now getting that mellow gray look.
