Daniel, Just when you think you've seen enough butts here are some more. Remember a lot of these guns are Hudson Valley Fowlers and not true Club Butts but they do have many similarities. As Mike mentioned these guns point very well and have excellent balance for the large bore and are fun to shoot. The ones with the black blackroad are based on an original I borrowed and the ones with the yellow are from a show display. Thanks all for your comments.

Here are some of my clubby butts.
This one is an 11 bore with a 46" barrel and full jug. Stocked in Ash.

Here's one stocked in cherry, probably another 11 bore or maybe a 10 with a 46" barrel with a full jug. I almost always make these in a large bore with a full jug for Turks,

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

This club butt in the pic I built from scratch in 1992 from a picture. The others Mike Davis built in the white for me and I finished.
My club butt is 20 ga.

I lucked out in a visit to a antique gun dealer shop in Post Falls ID. He had just gotten these in. The only ones I have ever held like this. It was very cool.

You certainly don't see stuff like that in antique shops in Iowa.....in fact most of the antique shops are all gone and none of them had a rack of original club butt fowling guns.
