Shot or ball bag

Ok, I haven't been able to locate any references. And I don't own or have access to the book Getting the lead out. So my question is. I have been toying woth making a turtle pattern bag that is somewhat formed, with a carved or filed antler neck/ spout. Has anyone ever seen anything like this, or is it a totally contemporary idea?
