Lucky guy!

A while back I picked up a set of sterling pistol parts on here from Kingsbury arms, and I have been trying to narrow down their time period and region. Mike Gahagan helped me out, and sent me a picture of The Rifle Shoppe's 1690 German holster pistol. It's an exact match!! What's even better is I picked up a bunch of pistol patterns on here last month, and that exact pistol is one of them! Now I just need a nice piece of walnut, a barrel, and castings for an early German pistol lock.

MLBS has the molds and castings from two different German Pistol locks that I used in my NMLRA seminar. I sent you a PM regarding Walnut stock blanks.

Ron is justifiably well know for the quality of his European Walnut and his aesthetic sensibilities. I'm very pleased with the wood I have bought from him.
I think you have a very interesting project and look forward to seeing your progress.

It will probably be a few years before I build this one. I've only built 2 pistols, and never built one with a buttcap with extensions/wings. I think I'll build one or two brass mounted pistols with similar buttcaps before I try these parts.
