You all in Pennsylvania know how to hunt deer and when to hunt them. Nice job and very good eating.

Took my 15 yr old Grandson out for first time Saturday.  He has been shooting deer since he was 9 or 10 but with modern guns.  He has found a new sport.  He loves it.

Just got home yesterday from a few days at a deer camp in north central PA for flintlock hunting with a great group of guys.

Now back to my solo farm country hunts till the season ends in late January.

I did, however, pick up a new-to-me 16ga fowler based on a Bucks County gun. Came with a rear sight installed and the barrel jugged, and I'm off to Dixon's today to get a few supplies and start sorting it out.

Soon as I saw the big chunky 648's it shoots for round balls, I knew I had to see if I could dial it in and get it out for deer.

My flintlock deer rifle is a little jealous already.
