Very well done! With an A weight barrel that makes for a skinny rifle.

Oh man Mike, that turned out super.  You are such an amazingly fast learner.  Anyone would be proud to own that beauty.

The only two suggestions I have are extremely minor, and are a total matter of preference.  I would put a coat of cold blue on those two patch box screw heads, as to my eye they call attention to themselves versus the well crafted patchbox.  The other is that I'd rub a coat of oil into the iron mounts and lock.  It appears from the photo that you have active rust on the cock and a few other spots.  Like I said, very very minor comments.

Overall, you nailed it buddy!   Send it to me in NC for testing.  :-)    I have a Jim Webb bag here that would be good to feed it from.  God Bless,   Marc

Thanks for the advice Marc.  I’ll get on that.  I shot it yesterday and it shoots strait.   ;D.  It will be my squirrel rifle until I build another.   Seems you’re always chasing the perfect rifle with these things.

I'm probably just missing it somewhere, but what caliber is it? Like the metal finish a lot, would like to hear a bit about that too if you would.

It’s a .32 caliber.   There was nothing special about the metal finish.  I used a browning agent from either MBS or TOTW.  I think it was called Tried and True Brown.  I left the pieces in the room I shower and let them rust to the point of pitting.  Then let them soak in used motor oil for a couple days.  I then rubbed them back with a maroon scratch pad and different sized steel wool pads until I liked it.  Gave them another dunk and called it good.

Nice job,
I'm also looking forward to seeing it in person.
