Hawkeye, the whole bag is made up of three basic macrame knots. There are lots of ways to make the net as fancy as you want, but I just wanted something simple. The cords attach to the rim with larks head knots, all the knots in the body of the bag are square knots, and the bottom row are overhand knots. It’s a bit time consuming for me, I have nerve damage in both hands from carpal tunnel syndrome, and have lost some dexterity in my fingers. But it’s not hard to do. There are literally thousands of macrame videos on YouTube, just pick a couple that don’t put you to sleep...
I’m going to try and make a net foraging bag sometime this winter, and I’ll try and take better pictures and post them as a “how to”. It’ll be mushroom season before ya know it...
