Another quilled knife sheath ready

After purchasing a long hunter knife from our talented ALR artist Todd, I decided to make a sheath that goes with the beauty of the knife.
It has a wooden sheath covered with rawhide and afterwards covered with braintan that I quilled

I’m planning to give quill work a try soon. I’m sure it will be some time before anything I make looks presentable. Can quilling be done on woolen cloth? I got this horn strap idea stuck in my head and I want to use worsted wool tape

I have seen Hawkeye’s work up close (since I own one of his pieces) and his skill and artistry are second to none.  On a par with any of the top quill workers here in the States.
