Another comment:
"This is a well made pistol, with good architecture and great trigger guard engraving. However, I believe the incised carving is a later addition. I base this on "copying" and enlarging the pictures, and noting that the carving is uneven, has "stop and start" places in it, doesn't hold evenly spaced borders around the tang and particularly underneath the side facings, and is not of the same quality as the rest of the gun. The leaf pattern on the rear side facing is done in the old "spoon carving" style of the late 1800s. The carving appears to be a later embellishment to an otherwise great pistol."
