Can't get wire size drills in Norway.
I've started on some Locks were I need to use 4-40 screws. I got the # 4 screw blanks and taps from Brownell Norway, but they don't have #32 and #44 drill bits in Stock. Tried buying om ebay and got a bunch of crapy drills that won't cut through mild steel. Tried Amazon, but they want 20$ to ship + 10$ export fees. Can anybody send med a couple of #32 and #44 drillbits for mild steel? I can pay through paypal.
Please send as USPS letter, airmail.

Best regards
Rolf

Hi Rolf,

Why not try 2.25mm drill for tap and 3.1 or 3.2mm for clearance?  Screws do vary a little bit.  Especially the unthreaded parts sometimes. What brand of drill did you get that you didn't like?  Often the common hardware store stuff here works fine.  I'll check what brand the nearest hardware has.

Thank you for Your suggestions,
I got two pack of drills. One is generic, no brand name, the other is is RDG Tools from England.  Both are junk and won't cut mild steel.
I did find an industrial supplier that has good quality metric drills in 0.1mm increments. I've found metric sizes that i think will work.

Best regards
