Sould'a gone a little more Left:
Of course I had to make it bigger to see what I had:
Not the end, to good a horn to waste, I already have an idea or Two for the repair. Probably fit right in with the intended end result.

I'm sure you're already are making something to fix it! My whoops in in the dust collector and it made a nice big clunk! No fixing mine.

Now I feel better. Even you can make a mistake! But you’re probably batting over .950.....

I love old repaired horns. Should make a nice opportunity for creativity!

I've seen several original horns with holes this size patched with pewter...and still rock-solid 150+years later...and one is a Tansel horn.

I've made a few similar mistakes on knife handles.

I was thinking about a Pewter repair or a rawhide patch on the hole only but this morning I am working on getting a paper cone pattern to fit the entire tip then make one out of Tin to cover the entire tip. I'm thinking a horn that had the tip broken off or chewed off by a dog. The results will be along in a week or so.

I see a conical poured tip in that horn’s future. 🙂
