I love old repaired horns. Should make a nice opportunity for creativity!

I've seen several original horns with holes this size patched with pewter...and still rock-solid 150+years later...and one is a Tansel horn.

I've made a few similar mistakes on knife handles.

 I was thinking about a Pewter repair or a rawhide patch on the hole only but this morning I am working on getting a paper cone pattern to fit the entire tip then make one out of Tin to cover the entire tip. I'm thinking a horn that had the tip broken off or chewed off by a dog. The results will be along in a week or so.
