1095 spring steel

Anyone know a source for small quantities of .050" thick 1095 spring stock?

Victrolla motor springs area about that thickness.  A single $25 motor spring is a huge supply for our purposes.

Does Walmart have Victrola springs??

Walmart?  Yea sure drive down there and ask.   ;)

Do an internet search for a person who restores wind up record players.  A normal part of restoring these is to replace the motor spring.  That person will probably have buckets of old motor springs.  Work a deal.  Failing that buys a new motor spring, they are not expensive.
