Wow James. That’s gorgeous. I guess it’s a bespoke bag? What are the dimensions?

Thanks!
Bob,
It's a little 6x6 bag I made to set the size of a custom bag I'm making out of a bobcat for a fellow. The other bag will be a little different but it's intent is to somewhat replicate a jaguar bag seen in a painting of one of Texas' early 19th century heros. It was for sale yesterday on my Facebook business page for a bit but it sold.

Just gorgeous James.  I like everything about it.  The contrasting colors really work, and the detail is exquisite.

I need a lot more practice!

God Bless,   Marc

I’m not against Facebook morally or anything, it’s just the thought of another modern entanglement. That being said, I am afraid I’m going to have to start one for my YouTube channel.

Tim,
There is a Facebook for dummies because I'm on it : )
It's where everyone went after message boards so when o went full time in had to get a presence on there. I long for the good old days when there were at least 6 or 8 good boards relating to living history, etc.
I am thankful we still have ALR which has always and still is my favorite. Most of the more historical reenacting and similar sites went dead some years ago.

Bob, I understand! I sure wish I could keep up enough to offer more spec items. Oh well. One stitch at a time.

Just a heads up...

If you aren't a member of fb right now you might wait a bit before joining... This Corona business has made it somewhat of a "war zone" between the two philosophical camps at the moment.

A business page on there will likely shield you from most of it, but the social media aspect is... interesting.

Love the look James, but as I keep staring at your latest endeavor I can't help to make a note to myself, "Man I need a haircut, badly".Great job James.

First bag I saw after surgery when I logged in.  Brightened up the day.  You guys need to post more.

Have not done too much research on the hair-on bags.  How prevalent in the 18th century?

Capgun, from surviving bags I think hair-on bags were fairly common.  Of course, most now look mangy and fur-bare, like a taxidermy project gone awry.  Also, I haven't seen a survivor with James' level of craftsmanship either.  Best wishes,   Marc
