Has anyone used this? Just saw it on line and it is available locally. How were the results if you did try it?

Silly question..... why do they call it browning, when it produces a blue finish?

Maybe cause in German the word for blueing is "Brünierung" - browning.  Probably from rust blueing.  Just a lazy translation.

I think you could use Birchwood/Casey's Super blue, apply it, put it in a damp box, and get a brown finish.  I sometimes find used Q tips etc with BC Super Blue on them that get left inadvertently on my bench, and tools in proximate acquire a rusted finish.

I just found it on the Canadian Tire website. have not heard mention of it before.
Newfoundland has very little available locally for anything other than modern cartridge guns, I have never actually found black powder here for sale.

You'll have to sweet talk your local Gunstore owner to bring it in for you.

Whatever you use, do not use a product with perchlorates in it, like Pyrodex. If you have to use a phony powder, use Hodgdon's T-7.

I brought 8 lbs or so when i got posted here, am down to about 6. Covid is delaying my next transfer back out west, but i should have enough till then.
I don`t imagine i`ll need any browning solution until i get out west, i tend to build slow.
