Roy...  Great looking rifle all the way 'round.  I love those stocky little rifles, especially the dark wood with the bright barrel and lock.  Very nice carving, and I think you nailed the wood patchbox.  I think I like the carving around the entry thimble the best.  Thanks for the pics!
