Pistol buttcap

O.K. so I'm working on my first pistol and after spending quite a bit of time installing the buttcap I figired I'd see how everyone else does it and maybe find a better way or different approach..I'm pretty happy with how it came out but it was a bit of a pain as it has to go in three different directions kinda at once.I basically started at the front, inlet it almost down to where it finished and rotated the tail into place. It took a lot of back and forth and I basically WORRIED it into place. So for next time I thought I would ask how does everyone else do it or how would you approach it.Anybody got any tricks they'd like to share
THANKS!!!
Mitch

I inlet mine straight on all at once. Probably no better than your method. Still a pain in the butt.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

I guess you can always make them without butt caps like I do.
