New Kibler SMR Arrived

The rifle arrived undamaged after zig-zagging its way to me from Ohio. Shipped June 2 arrived 16th.

The rifle is absolutely elegant.The on-line photos do not adequately show just how lovely and slender it is.  I don't think I will attempt to put a muzzle cap on it after all! (Maybe just a brass or silver end piece held on by brads).

It is going to be my 'go-to gun' for ground hogs and coyotes.

Now to get to work and get it assembled so I can take it to the range.

Dane, I built that rifle straight stock...no add-ons, like toe plate, patchbox, nose work etc.  I kind of regret that now, as I find patchboxes charming and useful.  Oh well, what it lacks in ornamentation, it more than exceeds in accuracy.  It's a fun rifle to shoot.

Received yesterday at 1: 00 o'clock.................1-1/2 hours later the barrel, tang, trigger and lock are fitted and perfectly operational. Tickled pink! Jim Kibler does lovely work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
