Finding a barrel coning tool
« on: July 05, 2020, 06:17:52 AM »
Hello!  Am new to the forum, and slowly starting to think maybe I will start building again.  In this process, I recently purchased a pistol that was built by Ron Scott some years ago, and the muzzle was significantly coned.  Talking to Ron about the pistol, he suggested the Joe Woods tool.  Are those, or any others, still available?  I recently received a .40 TN rifle, and would like to cone it, as well as my .50 and my .62.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!

Ed Hamberg makes a tool that can be used for most of what you'll want to cone without having to buy several different tools. Look in the classified section under member's products.

I believe Joe Woods coning tool is still available .  It is a very easy tool to use. You do need a different tool for each caliber.
