Here’s my newest build progress. It’s another attempt at a Lehigh. Still a long way to go but it’s finally starting to look like a gun.

Thanks for the encouragement and feel free to throw a critique in there.  The stepped wrist is so subtle on the 2 guns I’m using as references that I’ve left it out in the initial shaping.  Once I round the wrist,  it will put a little step in there.  I’m hoping it turns into a good deer rifle.

It’s a fine piece of wood for sure Stoner.  I’m torn between what carving to do.  My intention was to do the Kuntz Circle carving but I keep getting drawn to Rupp carvings.  Still a ways to go before I get to that point.
