Some nice targets.   Here's a second effort and it's not pretty! :(  wish I had an alibi but there is none.   It was a bit breezy but not that windy.   My grandson standing next to me said "Grampa,  your not following through" :)

Took the picture while the target was still on the backer and forgot to write on it.  Hope the yellow paper is ok. It's 60# bond and shows the holes better.

TC 54 with hoyt rebore
90 gr 3f Scheutzen
.533 ball (that's how the drop from a 530 lee mold)
.019 patch

I calculate 31X but will accept any revisions by the Match Director.  :)

Thanks guys- I'm back from the lake but heading back tomorrow for a week.
I should be home last day of August for a couple days, then back to the lake.
Thanks for the submissions - no, it is not an easy target but some really nice
ones have been entered.  My thanks to all who are and will compete. Appears
Taylor and Alacran are now tied.
It is nice to see those X's on Longcruise, Dave B and Tony's targets. Oh yeah- and
on Taylor's second target as well.
a 49 1X will win it.

Howdy folks.

Here is my second target; not really worth posting either but running out of time. Someone please shoot that 50-5x.

I'm hoping to take one more crack at it.  Maybe with a 45.

Not great but fun.  TVM Southern rifle .50 caliber, .015 patch, .490 ball and 55 gr Goex 3f.  Looks like a 33 with a flyer and 1X.  Joker playing card was my fouling shot.  Right through the heart of that dang red coat.

Well I have no excuses other than being old and have the shakes and bad eyes. Today was a perfect morning here in my part of the Pacific NW. 68 degrees, 38% humidity slightly overcast with no wind (like I said got no excuse). Here are my final 2 targets of the month. 25 yards offhand with my Kibler SMR .40 caliber using my target load of 40 grains of Goex 3F and .395 round ball with .015-.018 ticking lubed with 100% Neatsfoot oil.
Guess I don't have to worry about setting next months match up! Had 1 good target until the last shot and this is what happens when you yank the trigger instead of easily pulling it.
Oh well there is always next month.

Denny. Responded to your PM.
I am just in town Fraser Lake for some groceries, then back to the lake until Wed. There is no internet connection at the Lake, nor is there phone service.
Sorry guys , just the way things worked out. It appears to me there is a tie on this last day of the shoot. Still time to submit a "better" target guys.
I will come into town tomorrow morning just  to declare the winner.

Well guys, my thanks to all who participated.
As well I think we all can agree that Bobinthewoods' target scoring 49, is the best 49 submitted as his "9" is a solid 9, not simply and barely a line cutter. He also did this with a .40, a hard act to follow.
Well done BOB. CONGRADULATIONS YOU WON.
Please PM me your postal address & I'll get your prize off to you by the end of the week.
BEST WISHES EVERYONE!!!!

Congratulations Bob, well done. Gotta love those 40's. Now lets see what you come up with for this months "postal".

Yes he surely did. On my way home a day early. Lousy weather, my tiny boat was tossed around pretty badly. Stable  but whitecaps all day, most days.
